Cristy graduated From Bay State College in 2012 and became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant beginning her career at New England Rehabilitation Hospital. There, Cristy treated a wide variety of diagnoses, specifically: stroke, total hip and knee replacement, multi-trauma orthopedic, hip/spinal fractures and traumatic brain injury.
Back in 2006, Cristy experienced her own multi-trauma after being struck by a motor vehicle when crossing the street. After 2 years of physical therapy through inpatient, home care and outpatient services, Cristy decided to leave the finance industry and go back to school for physical therapy. At Bay State College she was the peer mentor for the PTA program and the student core ambassador for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) earning the President’s award for the PTA class of 2012.
Having first hand experience with multiple orthopedic injuries, the recovery and the healing process, Cristy brings a personal kind of compassion and understanding to her practice.
Cristy enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, yoga, kickboxing, camping, and hiking. She also has a passion for staying up to date on new technology, theories and manual techniques of physical therapy.
